The Spring semester started January 3rd and ends May 26th.

 

Program Admission Requirements for Adult Education

 

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age for the GED® Preparation and ESOL programs.

  • Applicants must be 16 or 17 years of age for the Underage GED® program. Current Pasco County students must enroll in Home Education. 

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age for the Graduate 24/7 and Adult High School programs.

  • Applicants must be formally withdrawn from their regular high school program, not including Home Education.

  • Applicants must take a placement test. 

 

Enrollment for Pasco Adult Education @ Wesley Chapel Face-to-Face and Online Classes 

 

The enrollment process can be completed online or in our Adult Education office.

  • If needed, see our Adult Education School Counselor to find the best program for you. Certified School Counselor Kathleen Carreño. Email kcarreno@pasco.k12.fl.us or call 813-794-8828.

  • Complete the student application and pay the $31.20 non-refundable fee for your class. Payment is due at the time application is submitted and is non-refundable. The payment form is found at the end of the application. 

  • A placement test is required for both GED Preparation and ESOL classes. 

      • TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education in Reading, Math, and Language) is required for GED Preparation classes. The test is approximately 4 hours. Students must be at least 16 years of age.  

      • CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems in Reading and Listening) is required for English Language classes.   The test is approximately 2 hours. Students must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • There is a $12.50 scheduling and processing fee that must be made prior to scheduling your TABE or CASAS test.  This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.  If you miss your testing appointment, you will be required to pay another non-refundable scheduling and processing fee. 

  • The TABE and CASAS tests are given at the Pearson Vue Assessment Center located at Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation located at 32555 Innovation Drive, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33545. Follow the signs for the Pearson Vue Assessment Center located at the front of the school. Check into the Assessment Center office with your government-issued ID (Required).

  • ADULT EDUCATION ATTENDANCE POLICY: Full-time students (attending Monday through Friday daytime) missing 6 (six) consecutive days are automatically withdrawn from the program as mandated by the State of Florida Department of Education for Adult Education. Part-time students (attending Tuesday and Thursday evenings) missing 3 (three) consecutive days are automatically withdrawn. Students that have been withdrawn due to lack of attendance may request to return to class 1 (one) time during the semester, this return will be dependent upon availability in the class; if there is a waiting list, returning students will be placed at the end of the list.  

  • ADULT ED PARKING: Adult Ed students must have an Adult Ed parking tag. All Adult Ed students must park in the parking lot by the Adult Ed buildings. Violations could result in your vehicle being towed. Please see Ms. Florinda in Building 4 for a parking tag and parking information.

  • Directions: Pasco Adult Education @Wesley Chapel is located behind the Wesley Chapel High School campus at 30651 Wells Road, Wesley Chapel, FL. Take the entrance between Wesley Chapel High School and Wesley Chapel Elementary School and follow the signs to the Adult Ed campus. The Adult Ed front office is in Portable 4.

 

 

TABE and CASAS testing hours:

 

     Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

     Tuesday and Thursday  8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. 

 

Due to COVID-19, wearing a mask is recommended but optional.

 

 

TABE Testing for Non-Students

 

TABE tests can be required for technical programs, childcare programs, law enforcement, and other programs.  If you are not a student in a PAE class but would like to use our testing lab to take the TABE, please follow the steps below to sign up for a testing slot.

 

There is a $12.50 scheduling and processing fee that must be made prior to scheduling your TABE test.  This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.  If you miss your testing appointment, you will be required to pay another non-refundable scheduling and processing fee.
